We are excited that your child is considering Boy Scouts Troop 1. Our troop was first chartered in 1916, which makes us one of the oldest troops in Omaha. Our Scoutmaster is William Knight.

Our meetings are Monday Nights at 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. We meet at Northside Christian Church located at 5555 Larimore Ave.

These are the fees or items that are needed to start. You should not have to buy a Uniform shirt or handbook more than once. Registration is yearly

Boy Scout Registration –                                           $30.00 *

Uniform shirt and patches –                                       $25.00

But can find them used for a lot less

Handbook –                                                                $8.00 give or take

We conduct fundraisers through out the year to help cover the cost of Summer Camp. We attend Camp Geiger in St. Joseph, MO. This is a tradition and we have been going for many years.

Summer Camp                                                            $250.00+ spending money

We try to have a campout or a outing once a month. Weekly dues are what pay for these events. Our dues do not get put together, what you pay in dues goes to your child.

Weekly dues -                                                             $2.00

Or can pay it monthly which ever works better

These due go to your child’s participation in campouts, outings.

The initial cost may seem like a lot but the memories that you and your son will have and the skills he will learn are priceless. The Boy Scouts have 12 laws that the boys learn to live by. These are Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent. At meetings, campouts, and other events we are enforcing these laws, with the exception of reverent, that is a law to be practiced at home.

Parents are an important part in making this an exciting venture. This is a great time to get one on one time with your son. Parents are always welcome and there are plenty of adult responsibilities were parents are needed.

I invite you and your son to join us at one of our meeting!
